Stories of Strange Women podcast is the audio platform for women who have chosen unconventional paths and is hosted by two strange women – identical twin sisters Tonya Hurley and Tracy Hurley Martin.

Each week the Hurley Twins interview a guest who has earned her reputation for strangeness in their field and will give an insider’s look at how she did it – how she forged her own way despite societal pressures and expectations. The show is engineered by pop legend Vince Clarke.

Guests will join the Hurley Sisters at Tracy’s home in Brooklyn, NY for strange, compelling, empowering and inspiring conversation.

The Hurley Sisters

Identical twin sisters Tonya Hurley and Tracy Hurley Martin have worked in all aspects of entertainment. They started their careers in NYC doing publicity for such artists as Prince, George Michael, Morrissey, Depeche Mode, The Cure, John Cale, John Lydon, Paul Westerberg and The Three Tenors.

On the side, the sisters made several award-winning indie short films together. The films premiered at film festivals around the world and were broadcast on outlets such as PBS and IFC and garnered glowing reviews in the New York Times and NY Daily News to name a few.

Tonya is a New York Times bestselling author with her ghostgirl series and The Blessed Trilogy. Her new book, Feathervein, releases in 2018. Hurley’s books are published in over 30 countries around the world and are a phenomenon in Mexico and Latin America. She has written and directed five short films, which were produced by her sister Tracy, and have premiered at notable film festivals around the world and have been broadcast on IFC and PBS. She is also a screenwriter, having her first script optioned by Jane Rosenthal and Robert DeNiro’s TriBeca Productions and has co-created and produced two hit TV shows for ABC/Disney. Hurley is a founding executive board member of the Morbid Anatomy Museum.

Tracy is the co-founder and board chair of the Morbid Anatomy Museum in Brooklyn. She has also worked as a producer in film and music supervisor.

They are currently developing a script which was a semi-finalist at Sundance as well as a TV show with Critical Content.
